Shepherd’s Retreat, LLC

Privacy Policy

Effective August 18, 2026

Who we are

Fibers and Threads is operated by Shepherd’s Retreat, LLC, a family-owned retreat venue in Leander, Texas. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to theshepherdsretreat@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you register for a retreat or event we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, emergency contact, dietary notes, and room preference. When you sign a waiver or agreement electronically, we record your typed signature together with the date, time, IP address, and browser used — the same record-keeping used by commercial e-signature services. We also keep records of payments you make and, for retreat guests, messages you post on the private community page.

How we use it

We use your information to operate your retreat or event: confirming registration, coordinating rooms and meals, processing and tracking payments, sending you information about your stay, and maintaining the private community page for your retreat group. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who else touches it

Your information is stored and processed by the service providers that run this site: our hosting and database providers, Google (email we send you comes from our Gmail account), and payment services you choose to pay through (such as Venmo, Zelle, or Square). Text messages related to site activity are delivered through Twilio and are sent only to the business owner — guests are not sent marketing or automated text messages.

Mobile information and SMS consent

Mobile information and text-message consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The Fibers and Threads Owner Alerts SMS program is used only for internal payment, private-message, and community-digest alerts to the business owner, not for marketing. See the SMS Terms & Conditions for program details.

Photos and video

Retreat waivers include a media release permitting Shepherd’s Retreat, LLC to use photos or video from events in our own promotion. The full wording is in the waiver each guest signs.

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in to the private community pages and the owner dashboard. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing theshepherdsretreat@gmail.com. Records we need to keep for legal, accounting, or contractual reasons (such as signed waivers and payment history) are retained as required.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Meaningful changes will be noted on the retreat community page for active retreats.
